Our story
A third-generation farmer's answer to a broken system.
For decades, Indian farmers were taught to depend on expensive chemicals and exploitative middlemen. Dr. Vijay Deshmukh — who grew up watching his own family cycle through debt — believed there was a better way. He founded Agro Guru to prove it.
Dr. Vijay Deshmukh, Founder
PhD in Agronomy from IARI, New Delhi. Spent 8 years as a scientist with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research before returning to his family farm in Maharashtra with one question: "Why are our farmers still poor?"
The answer shaped Agro Guru's entire curriculum: farmers don't need more chemicals — they need better knowledge, better markets, and better confidence.
